Sheet 00 — Untitled drawing set

Digital experiences for things that don't have a blueprint yet.

I design and prototype digital experiences where strategy, UX, interaction and emerging technology meet. From complex ideas to clear experiences — and working prototypes.

Sheet 01 — What I do

I work where things are still taking shape. Some projects arrive as a product idea. Some as a problem nobody has properly defined yet.

Some are already technically possible, but don't yet know what they should feel like. That's where I like to work — turning ambiguous ideas into structures, interfaces, interactions and prototypes that can be explored, tested and built.

Exploring what becomes possible when design is no longer limited to traditional interfaces.

Sheet 02 — The offer

Need something made tangible?

You don't necessarily need a six-month design process. Sometimes you need someone to look at the messy thing, understand what's actually there, and turn it into something you can see, click and react to.

Idea → working prototype

Prototype Sprint

For early-stage products, digital concepts, new features or ideas that need to become tangible quickly.

  • Clarify the problem
  • Define the experience
  • Structure the core flow
  • Design the interface
  • Build an interactive prototype
  • Identify what happens next
Best for: ideas that are still being shaped. Output — a clear concept and a working prototype you can test, present or develop further.
Scattered → coherent

Digital Presence Sprint

For freelancers, studios, organisations and small businesses whose digital presence no longer represents where they're going.

  • Positioning
  • Content structure
  • Information architecture & UX
  • Visual direction
  • Responsive web design
  • Implementation direction
Best for: people who don't need “just another website”. Output — a clearer digital identity and a focused, usable web experience.
Sheet 03 — Selected work

Experiments, prototypes & client work

A selection of things I've designed, prototyped, built, explored or otherwise refused to leave as an idea.

Sheet 04 — The Lab

Things that aren't finished yet

The Lab is where I explore ideas without pretending they already know what they want to become. Interactive experiments, generative systems, creative coding, unusual interfaces. Every tile below is live — regenerate it.

TypoGrid

Letterforms treated as a grid system rather than as content.

Truchet Field

Two tiles, one rule, endlessly different results.

Orbits

What a system looks like when nothing is at the centre.

Contour

Terrain drawn from data that was never a landscape.

Sheet 05 — About

Hi, I'm Helena.

I'm a UX and digital designer working across experience design, interaction, web and creative technology.

My background is in visual communication and interactive design, but my work has gradually moved further upstream — toward understanding problems, shaping experiences and making ideas tangible.

I enjoy the space between disciplines. The point where UX becomes interaction. Where strategy becomes structure. Where a prototype becomes a conversation. Where technology changes what the experience can be.

I don't believe every problem needs more features. Often it needs a better question.

Clarity

Understanding what matters and removing what doesn't.

Systems

Designing relationships rather than isolated screens.

Interaction

Making digital experiences feel responsive, alive and intentional.

Accessibility

Designing for real people, real devices and real circumstances.

Technology

Part of the design process — not decoration added at the end.

Experimentation

Trying things that don't have an obvious precedent.

Sheet 06 — Positioning

Design for the in-between.

I'm particularly interested in projects sitting between established categories. Hover to cross them out.

Sheet 07 — Process

A practical design process

Every project is different, but the general shape is simple. The order matters — each step changes the questions available to the next one.

01DiscoverUnderstand the problem, context, audience and constraints.
02DefineIdentify what actually needs to be solved.
03StructureTurn complexity into flows, systems and priorities.
04DesignCreate the experience and visual direction.
05PrototypeMake the concept tangible.
06TestSee what works, what doesn't and what changes.
07BuildPrepare for implementation, or continue into development.

I work well with people who…

You don't need another person to make the buttons prettier. You need someone who can look at the whole thing and ask: what are we actually building here?

  • 01 have an idea but haven't figured out the experience yet
  • 02 are building something genuinely new
  • 03 have a complex product that needs simplifying
  • 04 need a prototype before investing in development
  • 05 are tired of a website disconnected from the actual work
  • 06 want thoughtful interaction rather than generic templates
  • 07 need a designer who moves between strategy and implementation
Sheet 08 — Contact

Have something that doesn't have a blueprint yet?

Tell me what you're working on. It doesn't need to be polished. A messy idea is fine. A problem statement is fine. A half-built website is fine. A Figma file nobody understands is also fine.

Let's figure out what it could become.

Received. This is a prototype, so nothing was actually sent — but that's exactly the point.
